Cone Health and QActual Offer Lifeline to Overstressed Healthcare Workers.

Cone Health Ventures is excited to announce a strategic collaboration with QActual to support the mental health of healthcare workers. Through this relationship, Cone Health helped design, test and launch the WeCare app, a platform for healthcare employees to build a trusted and private support network to protect their mental health. This is particularly relevant as healthcare workers around the world have experienced increased stress because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The WeCare app utilizes a squad strategy (adapted from the US military), best practices in behavioral health and leading-edge technology to create a platform that is engaging and useful to members. The platform includes a daily check-in, mental health messages, education, and a crisis management function in a local peer-to-peer network curated by the “squad leader” (the employee/member). The WeCare app provides an immediate response in times of crisis by notifying squad members and walking the member through an exercise intended to ground the person and restore cognitive function.

Cone Health Ventures identifies entrepreneurial companies with solutions that address the greatest needs and top strategic aims of Cone Health. Through negotiating win-win agreements to align the interests of all parties, Cone Health Ventures accelerates commercialization into the broader healthcare market to create value for the companies, Cone Health, and our patients.
