
Managing Director
Mark has founded and developed multiple innovative companies in healthcare and technology over the past 25 years, resulting in three successful exits. Mark has vast experience raising venture and strategic capital, developing financial models, defining business strategy, structuring strategic partnerships, and building effective teams. Mark cofounded Prinnovo to help forward-thinking health systems create portfolios of innovation partners that would drive both clinical value and financial return for their enterprises.

Managing Director
Jay has extensive experience over the past twenty years working with startups, leading turnarounds, and coaching and developing entrepreneurs. After starting out in the technology transfer world, evaluating and raising capital for promising startups, Jay began doing operations-consulting work for privately held companies in the Greensboro area. As cofounder of prinnovo, Jay hires, trains and manages the staff of each health venture office, developing close relationships with health system leaders and coaching and guiding the entrepreneurial partners to deliver innovative solutions that solve the health system’s most pressing needs.

Principal
David has been involved in healthcare policy, research, and innovation over the past decade while serving at Argonne National Laboratory, the U.S. House of Representatives, and Centers for Disease Control. In 2015 David left the CDC to form Aces Health, a digital health company. Aces Health successfully raised multiple rounds of venture funding, including investment from Nicklaus Children’s Health System, and was acquired in 2018. Prior to joining Prinnovo, David managed BrightEdge, the philanthropic impact fund of the American Cancer Society. David brings deep knowledge and expertise in health IT, disruptive delivery models, digital health strategy, and innovative funding platforms to the Prinnovo team.

Venture Director
James started his career selling securities with First Trust. He went on to build and manage teams in diverse and complex settings across Asia, the Middle East, and
Africa as a Country Representative for Samaritan’s Purse. Prior to joining Cone Health Ventures / Prinnovo, James ran Corporate Development for FLAG Therapeutics, a small molecule drug development company with a focus on rare and aggressive cancers. James brings deep healthcare operational and business development experience having driven successful deals and financings with VC, Strategics, and non-dilutive governmental capital.
